Coral Gables

Incorporated in 1925, Coral Gables or “The Gables” is one of Miami’s oldest planned communities. Famous for its Mediterranean-styled architecture, Coral Gables is home to 42,871 residents (according to the 2004 Census estimate). Referred to by many as the “City Beautiful” there is no question of what makes the city of Coral Gables so beautiful. Perhaps it is due to the city’s abundance of historical landmarks, elegant residential areas lined by the city’s notorious canopy tree covering, shopping districts, or the University of Miami campus.

Another attractive feature that supports Coral Gables’s regarded title is its vast amount of immaculate landscaping and the city’s charming tree canopy. In fact, more than 50,000 trees shade the city’s 13.3 square miles and line the city’s bike paths and walking trails, its 22 parks and 33 public tennis courts, as well as two public golf courses. Coral Gables is also home to 36 miles of pristine waterways and contains multiple boating facilities to take full advantage of its abundance of water.

Famous for its grand Miracle Mile, Coral Gables replicates a European Old World style setting with its outdoor cafes and international specialty boutiques. The downtown Coral Gables area provides residents, business people and visitors with an impressive shopping and dining experience amongst its 140 upscale dining establishments and shops amid a beautiful tropical setting.

High Pines

Nestled in between Coral Gables and South Miami is the beautiful enclave of High Pines. Known to locals as one of the best keep secrets in southern Miami-Dade County, High Pines is bordered by Coral Gables to the north and east, and South Miami to the west. South Miami

Regarded as the “City of Pleasant Living,” what exactly makes the city of South Miami so pleasant to live in? Neighboring the cities of Coral Gables and Pinecrest, South Miami has created a name for itself with its prime location that offers residents a small town atmosphere, complete with its own nightlife, entertainment venues and array of shopping options, as well as easy access to all that a big city such as Miami has to offer. The city also features some of Miami’s finest public schools as well as is the home to two major hospitals whose service spans the entire Miami-Dade County.
